According to Wikopedia as of 2000 he was working as a manager for Parcel Force in Thurrock, so I guess he would be available. But do we really want to risk all on a 62-year-old with no managerial experience?

I really don't know if someone is lined up. I agree that if there is the sooner he is in the better. And if it is to be Parkinson why not try to make a positive out of the prospect by announcing it now?Burgundy Addickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12203516889598003723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5476043688166279353.post-41493470687811469562008-12-23T09:29:00.000+00:002008-12-23T09:29:00.000+00:00An excellent read BA. From my perspective, I don't think the board's argument that they wouldn't be making any managerial changes until January because there was no scope for player movement really washes. Surely you want your man in early to get his feet under the table, assess the shambles of a squad he has been given and identify any potential transfer targets. As it stands, if a new man does come in he'll be playing catch up and his appointment will have come around two months too late. I am beginning to accept the inevitable and am preparing myself for the rest of the season to be played out under Parkinson.Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16484844468483162619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5476043688166279353.post-25728830928679135182008-12-22T21:51:00.000+00:002008-12-22T21:51:00.000+00:00BA, what do you think about the theory that the bo...BA, what do you think about the theory that the board have someone lined up for Jan, but just can't announce it yet? (Lawrence or Curbs being favourite)

I thought this originally, but realise now I was just looking for a "King Arthur" to materialise in our hour of need.

I think they will stick with Parky and concede relegation - pretty strategic and forward thinking for December.

Pembury AddickAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
