Frankly it's good to see players with something to prove and I agree - 10/10 for Holland.

Not all teams will attack like Reading but maybe we will benefit from not having the likes of Hull, Stoke and Scunthorpe in the league and maybe teams won't see us as such big scalps - remember Scunthorpe, they whipped their players up by pretending we were Barcelona.

Time now to scrape a few hard-fought away wins. Starting at Preston.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5476043688166279353.post-45885684982616078892008-08-25T15:19:00.000+01:002008-08-25T15:19:00.000+01:00This whole piece was meandering along in your usu...This whole piece was meandering along in your usual pedantic manner and to my surprise I was in agreement with most of it, until.... stuck in the middle of the player ratings is Holland on 8/10.

Lets put this down to sun stroke.

He got tired, of course he did! His driving of the team as a unit is unrelenting. How many times did his movement break down an attack The support he offers going forward, the cover he provides when others are slow to react.

Weaver, at last, is doing his job with some confidence. Andy was great, but Holland's sheer energy and will got us the points.

Give him 10/10.

Cambridge AddickAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5476043688166279353.post-75639630697082981712008-08-24T23:04:00.000+01:002008-08-24T23:04:00.000+01:00I for one am always encouraged by the crowd gettin...I for one am always encouraged by the crowd getting irate at refereeing decisions - it often brings us to life. Does anyone remember the game when steve Brown was red carded while being stretchered off, the black clouds gathering overhead, and the lobbing of several thousand merchandise booklets? - An appaling referee can really bring the place to life and genuinely connect the fans with the players.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5476043688166279353.post-23390120601354108362008-08-24T01:20:00.000+01:002008-08-24T01:20:00.000+01:00The stupid thing about injury time is that you'll ...The stupid thing about injury time is that you'll almost never have 3 minutes or more in the first half, but never have less than 3 minutes in the second half. I think 2 minutes in the first half was just about right, simply because of the 2 penalties when time is wasted by players arguing with the ref etc!

Spot on about Andy Gray. His hold up play was brilliant.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12052242791860815655noreply@blogger.com
